Fondé par six musiciens de l'ouest de Montréal en 1986, le groupe Second Wind divertit ses fans depuis bientôt 25 ans.  Au cours de cette période, le groupe s'est bâti un solide répertoire, qui s'adapte aussi bien à la scène qu'aux événements corporatifs.  Les influences, les styles musicaux, et même certains musiciens ont changés au cours des années, mais la passion de Second Wind pour la musique reste, elle, bien intacte.

Le groupe est actuellement composé de Rick Pleau (clavier et guitare), Gord Sharp (basse), Brian Cohen (voix), Marie-Josée Giroux (voix), Richard Nolet (guitare), et Jean Pelletier (batterie).

En plus de son répertoire de grands succès, Second WInd interprète des chansons originales, composées pour le groupe par Rick et Gord.

Emerging from a basement studio of Montreal’s West-Island, Second Wind was formed in 1986. A collaborative effort of six friends with varying influences, Second Wind has been together for 24 years. Over this period of time they have concentrated on a repertoire of their favorite songs and continue to entertain friends and fans at local nightspots and corporate events.

The band’s line up includes Rick Pleau (keyboard & guitar), Gord Sharp (bass), Brian Cohen (vocals), Marie-Josée Giroux (vocals), Jean Pelletier (drums) and Richard Nolet (guitar).

Past members include Stewart Atkin (guitar) and Rick Mallette and Jeff Gauthier (drums). and Doug Zakaib (percussion)

Second Wind also pursued other creative avenues, in addition to their cover material Rick & Gord have contributed some original songs to the band’s repertoire.
